Theoretically, Cops and Courts focuses on some pretty dastardly crimes, although we like to inject a little humor into an often-grim beat whenever possible.
But we’re losing any sense of humor we might have had over the pumpkin patch problems at the Missoula Alliance Church. This latest incident doesn’t involve the church per se, although the pumpkins in question were purchased there.
Notice of this latest incident came to light via a Letter to the Editor from Missoula County Commissioner Jean Curtiss her tell it:
Last Sunday we took our little granddaughter (and her parents) to the Pumpkin Patch at the Alliance Church and picked out pumpkins. It was great fun to have her wander around and pat the pumpkins. We bought several and she had hers on the front porch at her home in the Pleasantview neighborhood. Last night someone stole all three pumpkins. Whoever you are, I hope you realize that you took an 18 month old little girl’s punkins. She is sad and so is her Mom and Grandma.

Picking on a little girl’s pumpkins. Come to think of it, that’s pretty darned dastardly. For shame.

I took my girls to the Pumpkin Patch at Alliance Church as well – we picked out 4 pumpkins and so far have been safe on our porch.. Although I pulled out of my drive way (in back of house) and drove out to see a whole pumpkin smashed in the streets… It was to dark (and I didnt want to get upset this am) to see if it was one or all 4 of our pumpkins… Really?! Who does this??!!! Grow up – times are tuff and we as parents try to give the best for our children then some ‘immature’ individual has to ruin this.. These pumpkins havent even been carved. That is our plan this weekend.. So I am hoping that we still have our pumpkins but stil it’s someones (neighbors) is smashed in the street.
