Police are looking for a suspect in his mid-20s who tried to sexually assault a woman Friday night on the corner of Fourth and Inez streets in Missoula.
The man, believed to be between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, confronted the 25-year-old woman around 8:30 p.m., Missoula police said.
She was physically assaulted and her purse was stolen.
The assault was interrupted by a witness and the man fled on foot westbound on Fourth Street.
The suspect is described as being white, around 150 pounds and has hair down to his collar. He was last seen wearing a dark winter jacket, gray sweatpants, a “fuzzy” winter cap and heavy snow boots.
