Missoula police say it’s “disturbing” that a 77-year-old man who went missing after dropping his daughter off at the airport yesterday morning still hasn’t been found.
“We still don’t have any news” on Ronald Furrer, Missoula Police Detective Sgt. Travis Welsh said this afternoon.
Furrer took his daughter to the airport at about 6 a.m. yesterday and hasn’t been seen since, Welsh said. He also missed a doctor’s appointment at 8:45 a.m. yesterday.
“That’s a red flag,” Welsh said.
“There’s also concern expressed by the family because apparently he did not feel well the morning he disappeared,” Welsh said.
Furrer is deaf, diabetic and uses an oxygen tank with a breathing tube under his nose. He’s about 5-foot-8 and weighs about 200 pounds. He has brown eyes.
He was driving a small red GMC Envoy with Montana license plate 4ABF61.
Misosula police have sent information on Furrer to law enforcement around Montana, as well as in neighboring states.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Missoula Police Department at 552-6302.
