Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week – Vehicle Break-Ins, Lookout Tower Vandalism

Make that crimes, because Crime Stoppers has two this week:

1) The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office took several reports of vehicle break-ins in the upper Miller Creek area a few weeks ago. Several items were taken including electronics such as iPods. A unique hunting bow with a bear on it was taken from one vehicle. Please remember to lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables in plain sight.

2) On Oct. 12, Missoula County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a criminal mischief call at the National Museum of Forest Services History on Highway 10 West. Rocks were used to break windows in the lookout tower that is on display there.

If you have suspect information regarding these incidents, please call Crime Stoppers at 721-4444 in Missoula and Mineral counties, or 363-0062 in Ravalli County.

Crime Stoppers does not record calls or use caller identification. Those who report information may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
